The “Flint Hills Series” of paintings reflects the impressive expanse of the beautiful rolling Flint Hills region. Located in eastern Kansas and north central Oklahoma it spans an area of over 9,000 square miles. This is the last Tall Grass Prairie in the world and considered by many to be some of the best grazing land for cattle. This where the “buffalo roam”. Prior to the 1700’s, there were an estimated 50 – 100 million buffalo (bison) that roamed the flint hills.
