Craig Yaryan

Craig grew up and has lived his whole life in Kansas. His professional career was spent as a “Bank Executive”, “Lending Expert”, “Bank Consultant” and has served on numerous “Board of Directors” on the National level, State level and Local level for a variety of organizations.

He has always had a great love of sports, the outdoors and travel. He has traveled extensively in North America, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe. HIs passion for the outdoors and travel are often reflected in his artwork.

Craig is completely self-taught in painting. He was heavily influenced by world famous Bob Ross and his wet-on-wet technique of oil painting.

Landscape paintings tend to fall between two main categories, “impressionism” and “realisim”. Impressionism is usually interperative quite often using large brushstrokes. Realisim is more like a photograph, representing an accurate view of the subject. Craig’s paintings tend to be more in the “realisim” category. His goal is to put realisim in the painting without looking just like a photograph, but rather maintaining its look of an oil painting.
